Every successful person in the world began with two simple beliefs: the future can be better than the present; and I have the power to make that happen!
Andy Martin, owner of Tri Pillar Fitness, would add, “The goal is not to be better at exercise, it’s to be better at LIFE.” I began the interview by asking him how his business was coping with Covid-19. I wasn’t expecting the answer he gave. “I miss coaching in house so I’m really excited to open back up when we’re able to, but we pivoted to online Zoom meetings and haven’t really looked back,” he says. And indeed he hasn’t looked back. That one answer meant the next four questions I had didn’t even need to be asked. So we spent the next half hour talking about his views on working out instead. It’s not really an approach to working out so much as an approach to life. Be better at life, not the exercise. Do something, every day. Not every day has to be a personal best, nor will every day BE a personal best. There’s absolutely a time and place for spending short periods of time working out VERY hard, but not every workout has to be like that. But get up and do something. Because the habit is more important than any one particular workout, and if you’re not having fun at it, why bother? So if you’re looking for a way to have a little more fun in your workouts, click here, and talk to Andy today!
